Somewhere Over the Rainbow
Where is home?
In a city with basements
And Bar-B-Q sandwiches?
With baseball teams,
And I-70 meeting I-35?
Or is it in the small,
With downtown squares,
And bicycle friendly streets
In and on the edge of the Ozarks?
Is home where one is born,
Where they know your name?
Where weaving wandering roads
Cause no hesitation;
And short-cuts and city streets
Are familiar friends?
Can home change from where you were to where you are?
Can home be an adventure?
With unknown excitement
Eager to meet you;
Where new holes in the wall
And dusty book stores await meeting?
Where is home?
In a city with basements
And Bar-B-Q sandwiches?
With baseball teams,
And I-70 meeting I-35?
Or is it in the small,
With downtown squares,
And bicycle friendly streets
In and on the edge of the Ozarks?
Is home where one is born,
Where they know your name?
Where weaving wandering roads
Cause no hesitation;
And short-cuts and city streets
Are familiar friends?
Can home change from where you were to where you are?
Can home be an adventure?
With unknown excitement
Eager to meet you;
Where new holes in the wall
And dusty book stores await meeting?
